Dear Community,
I am so excited to be offering new and in-person classes after the pandemic!
During the pandemic years, I taught classes online, completed advanced training in mind-body medicine (CMBM.org), took Compassionate Inquiry training with Dr. Gabor Mate, became a Certified Coach in Dr. Shefali's Conscious Parenting Method, worked as a Clinical Counsellor in the student health department at BCIT, and completed the Portuguese Camino together with a soul sister (we walked for 26 days covering 675 kms from Lisbon, Portugal to Santiago, Spain)!
Drawing upon 30 years of teaching movement (yoga, pilates, fitness), my formal studies in psychology and spirituality (mind-body medicine, counselling, conscious coaching), as well as professional and personal experiences during the pandemic, I have created a new movement modality called eMOTION and its sister sheMOTION. I am equally thrilled to be offering these classes at Maa Yoga & Wellness, the serene studio space located in Dollarton Village, North Vancouver.
Whether I am teaching a class or facilitating a coaching circle, my highest intention is to unleash the transformative power of love. I believe the pathway to peace within ourselves, our families, our communities, and on our planet is through a conscious, connected, and courageous relationship with the Self. I also believe that self-love is an evolved way of being that requires both a personal & community supported practice of inner-care and heart-centred action.
My own well-being thrives when I teach classes and connect with my community, walk n' talk with soul sisters, hike local trails in quietude or with an audio book / podcast, and when I go on eco-friendly, physically adventurous retreats such as cycle touring and canoeing in the backcountry!
Although I value my formal education and training in counselling psychology, coaching, mind/body medicine, and my various yoga and movement certifications, the experiential school of motherhood has been the most transformative. My children have been (and continue to be) my greatest teachers and I am deeply grateful to be walking the path of a conscious parent in partnership with my high school sweetheart.
